Synopsis	:	This thesis discusses Lily Bloom’s struggle for happiness in Colleen Hoover’s It Ends With Us. The objective of this study is to find the motivation of Lily Bloom’s struggle for her life and describe the way Lily Bloom struggles to find happiness in her life. The thesis writer chooses the qualitative method and employs the psychological approach to analyze the data. The motivations that being the reason for Lily Bloom to struggle in her life are specifically caused by Lily's father narrow mindset in life and his abusive behavior towards Lily's mother. Furthermore, the tendency of Lily's mother to cover up the abusive behavior done by Lily’s father also becomes Lily's motivation to struggle in her life. In addition, the way Lily Bloom struggles in her life to find happiness is classified as the struggle within herself to control her emotions that are affected by her mother's passive behavior, struggle to pursue her dreams, and also struggle to be free from her partner’s who does abusive behavior. Finally, Lily can find her happiness through several encouragements from her relatives to get out of abusive relationships and she makes her dream come true as a successful businesswoman
